Taking the hero Fang Hongjian＇s fate as the main line, this novel satirizes the social life, and further promotes the development of the plot, while showing non-artificial and natural irony. The flexible use of various rhetoric devices shows Qian Zhongshu＇s outstanding skills. Therefore, we can explore his unique satirical and humorous art in Fortress Besieged. In this paper, the author analyzes the ironic features of Fortress Besieged, and explores the forms of language expression with humorous irony, and then sums up the three aspects of humor and irony.
