An Overview of the Studies on the Northern Song's Capital Selection

自20世纪初以来,学术界关于北宋都城择定问题的研究取得了很大进展,出版了不少专门探讨该问题的论著,尤其是在定都原因、都城经济和地理困境、当时的补救之策等方面,研究颇为深入。但是,也存在重复研究现象,这说明相关研究已进入瓶颈,亟待突破。今后,应在思考角度选择、资料解读、理论分析等方面下功夫,在认真研究史料的基础上追求创新和进步。

Since the early twentieth century, scholars have made considerable progress on the Northern Song＇s capital selection problem. There are quite a few of essays and works which focus on the theme. Some specific topics have been discussed, such as the factors of capital selection, the disadvantages of the Song＇s capital, and the attempts of compensating. Nowadays, the studies have run into a development bottleneck. To solve this dilemma, scholars must make great efforts to innovate and develop on the basis of attentive textual research. And it＇s essential to pay more attention to the perspective, the document interpreting＇s and the theoretical analysis.
