美国语言学家卡奇鲁提出的"三大同心圈理论"将世界英语变体分成内圈、外圈和扩展圈三种类型,这对我国大陆地区的英语教育具有三方面的启示,即弱化内圈英语、接纳外圈英语和构建扩展圈英语。

World English variety is divided into three types such as Inner Circle English, Outer Circle English, and Expanding Circle English, according to the theory of Three Concentric Circles of English proposed by American logistician Braj Kachru. For English education in China's Mainland, the theory has three enlightenments, including weakening Inner Circle English, accepting Outer Circle English, and establishing Expanding Circle English.
