未成年人犯罪的防治工作有了一些效果,但仍有几个特点值得注意:犯罪年龄越来越小、知识水平较低、非本地的占的比重较高、罪名比较集中、犯罪手段明显呈现成人化和暴力化、共同犯罪较多,伴随一定的偶合性。对于这一情况,政府和社会高度重视,并努力寻找一种标本兼治且对未成年人负面影响较小的办法来改变这种趋势,通过理论研究和实践活动,社区矫正被认为是一种有效的办法。
