在对广西八圩、里湖白裤瑶乡进行田野调查的基础上,结合文献资料,对白裤瑶树汁染的工艺制作、工艺特征及文化内涵进行探讨。白裤瑶树汁染工艺的重要成就体现在树汁染工序中纹饰的设计与制作上。白裤瑶树汁染纹饰丰富独特,以直线为基本的造型元素,强调视觉中心的地位,崇尚黑白的色彩观念,着意于空间秩序的营造,讲求主次、布局与比例,这些方面体现了白裤瑶树汁染工艺成熟的经营意匠。一些典型的装饰母题集中地展现了白裤瑶的民族特征、民族历史、民族审美意识与观念,是白裤瑶区别于其他民族的重要民族符号。

This paper is intended to discuss the process,technological characteristics and cultural connotation of Baikuyao sap dyeing based on field investigation in Bayu and Baikuyao in combination with document literatures. The important accomplishments of Baikuyao sap dyeing technology have been made in the design and production of decorative patterns. The patterns of Baikuyao sap dyeing are rich and unique,constructed mainly by straight line as the basic modeling element,emphasizing the status of the visual center,adhering to the concept of advocating black and white,underlining the creation of spatial order,making a distinction distinguish,and stressing layout and proportion. All of these aspects reflect the extremely mature and remarkable design idea of Baikuyao sap dyeing technology. Some typical decorative motifs also embody the national characteristics, history and aesthetic consciousness and concept of Baikuyao,which remarkably distinguishes the Bai Kuyao region from other ethnic groups.
