摘要
自译是一种特殊形态的翻译,涉及到了翻译者和创作者的身份重叠。自译者拥有较大的自主权和创作空间,自译作品是译者创作生命的循环。基于接受美学理论中的读者接受论,张爱玲在自译短篇小说《桂花蒸阿小悲秋》中充分发挥其主体性,有意识地选择翻译策略,产生了大量的变译现象,译文虽不完全忠实原文,但顺应了目的语读者的交际需要。
Self-translation is a special form of translation which has an identity overlap of translators and creators. Since the translator has a greater autonomy and creative space, self-translation works are the cycle of the translator’s creation. Based on the reception theory, the paper analyses how Eileen Chang plays an active role in self-translating her short novel Shame Amah and it is found that the translated text has lots of translation varia-tions, which is not exactly loyal to the source text but conforms to the communicative needs of target readers.
