大科学装置科普案例研究——以ITER工程为例

A study on the functions of large scientific facility in science popularization——Taking ITER as an example

大科学装置是科技创新和经济社会发展的重要基础,大科学装置研究不仅具有科研意义,也具有社会意义和重大战略意义。作为科普内容之一,挖掘并开发大科学装置的科普功能应引起社会的广泛关注。ITER是重要的科技资源,大科学装置的代表,具有科普价值。以ITER工程为例,探讨它实现科普功能的途径。以围绕其核心大科学装置——ITER开展的科普工作:吸引媒体关注、争取多领域合作,以及科普活动:科学家参与科普、设立公众参与区,来分析如何实现大科学装置的科普功能,为未来大科学装置科普工作提供一定的启示。

Large scientific facilities are the cornerstone and an important guarantee of technological innovations as well as economic and social development. Research on large scientific facilities not only is very important to scientific research but also significant to sociology and national key strategy. Development on the function of science popularization of large scientific facilities should be the focus of science popularization. This paper taking ITER Base（ headquarters） as an example discussed the work and activities of science popularization around their core facilities. As an important technological resource,ITER Base（ headquarters） could represent large scientific facilities. This paper takes ITER as an example to discuss how to achieve the function of science popularization,and further enlighten the future of popularization work. The work of science popularization based on ITER includes attracting media,appealing for multi-field cooperation and organizing activities,in which scientists are involved for popularization and build-up of public participation area.
