抗日战争胜利后,滇军奉命进入越南接受日本投降,在此期间,越南各种政治势力空前活跃,部分日军不愿投降,英国从中作梗,支持法国重返越南。加之蒋介石为解决龙云而调滇军入越南,滇军有可能回师云南与国民党中央军发生冲突。这些因素的存在威胁着滇越边疆的稳定。
