中国特色社会主义政治经济学的研究对象是,处于社会主义初级阶段的具有中国特色的多种生产方式以及和它相适应的生产关系和交换关系,以便说明中国特色社会主义市场经济的产生、生存、发展和向中国特色社会主义更高阶段升级即超越社会主义初级阶段的规律。中国特色社会主义政治经济学的方法论与马克思主义经济学一样包括辩证的历史唯物主义、实事求是、严谨的逻辑辩证、批判与借鉴等。中国特色社会主义政治经济学的研究范围与马克思主义政治经济学既有联系,又有区分,同时还包括对其它经济学说的批判和借鉴。
