本文基于历史研究的范式,运用文献资料、文本分析等研究方法,梳理了美国体育在近代上海的传播历程。从人际传播、组织传播和大众传播等方面探讨了美国体育的传播内容、传播特征以及传播价值。研究认为:美国流行的运动项目通过人际传播在近代上海兴起;基督教青年会、美国教会学校等组织传播美国体育文化,报纸和期刊等平面媒体促进美国体育文化在近代上海的大众传播。基于此,美国体育在近代上海的传播,改变了上海民众的价值观念、行为取向和生活方式。传播价值包括美国体育对国人产生了重要的示范作用,美国体育教育促进了近代中国教育的发展,美国体育文化是塑造上海海派文化城市的重要因素,其传播历程启蒙了近代国人的国家观念。

Based on the historical research paradigm, This study used literature, text analysis research methods, it combed the American sports culture spreading in modem Shanghai. From interpersonal communication, organizational communication and mass communication, ete, to discuss the spread content of American sports culture, analysis of transmission characteristics and transmission value. Research suggests that American popular sports were spring up through interpersonal communication in the modem Shanghai ; Young men＇s Christian association, the American church school organization spread American sports culture, Represented by newspapers and periodicals, the print media had promoted the spread of American sports culture in modem Shanghai. Based on this, the study pointed out that media spread of American sports had changed people＇s values, behavior orientation and way of life in modem Shanghai .American sports had an important demonstration effect for Chinese people, the American sports education had promoted the development of education in modem China, American sports culture was an important factor in shaping Shanghai style culture, the dissemination process of American sports had enlightenment for the modem Chinese national concept.
