拜厄特《占有》中女性谱系的重建

摘要 在拜厄特的布克奖获奖作品《占有》中,女仙梅露西娜、女诗人兰蒙特和女学者贝利这三位女性人物在历史的长河中如明星一样璀璨。在伊里加蕾关于女性谱系和母女关系的理论观照下,拜厄特通过语言使处于不同时空的三位女性串联起一条从远古时代到维多利亚时期再到当代的女性谱系,让她们各得其所,各有所获。拜厄特在小说中对女性书写女性、女性追溯女性历史的展示传达出她对理想女性关系的真心期盼,以及对消解男权文化霸权,让女性集体发声,言说自我所作出的成功尝试。 In A.S.Byatt’s Booker Prize winner Possession,fairy Melusina,poetess Christabel LaM otte and female scholar Maud Bailey are three shining stars in history.Based on Luce Irigaray’s theory about female genealogy and mother-daughter relationship,Byatt uses words and writing to connect three women from different times and spaces together and establishes a female lineage from the ancient times to the Victorian age to the modern times,so that they can locate themselves and benefit from it.Byatt’s display of female writing female and female tracing female history shows her sincere wish for an ideal relation among women and her successful attempt to undermine patriarchal cultural hegemony and to enable women to speak collectively and express themselves.
