We Must Firmly Adhere to the Party's Political Principle——A Study on General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Statements at a Seminar of Provincial and Ministerial Levels

讲政治是中国共产党最鲜明的特点和突出优势,关乎党、国家和民族前途与命运。在不同历史时期,讲政治有不同的内涵、要求和表现形式;讲政治是具体的而不是抽象的,是全面的而不是局部的,是行动的而不是语言的;讲政治的目的在于统一全党意志、凝聚全党力量,为实现党的纲领和目标而共同奋斗。当前,旗帜鲜明地讲政治,必须扛起全面从严治党的政治责任,切实加强和规范党内政治生活,不断提高各级领导干部特别是"关键少数"的政治能力,自觉地把讲政治转化为爱党、护党、为党的实际行动。

Adhering to the political principle has been a distinctive feature and advantage of the Party. It is closely related to the destiny of the Party and Chinese nation. There are different connotations, requirement and for^ns of political principle during different historical periods. We should take the Party＇s political principle as a concrete concept and put it into practice. The political principle aims at safeguarding the unity within the Party, pooling our strength and heading toward the Party＇s objectives. At present, the practice of the Party＇s political principle relies on our efforts in running the Party with strict discipline, strengthening our supervision on political life and improving leadership of officials at all levels, especially for these critical minorities . Party officials should take practical actions with firm belief to implement the Party＇s political principle.
