Comparative Research on the Calligraphic Art of Huang Binhong and Lin Sanzhi under the Background of Mentoring Relationship

师从于黄宾虹的经历对于林散之在书法上的精进与成熟有着重要的影响。林散之在学习和继承黄宾虹书艺的基础上也进行了自身的变革与开拓。二人在用笔与用墨、结字与章法、精神风貌与内在美感等方面同中有异。同时,黄宾虹与林散之均擅长于在自身实践中将书法与绘画紧密结合,为"以书作画"和"以画作书"的杰出代表。

The experience of studying with Huang Binhong had an important influence on progress and maturity of Lin Sanzhi, s calligraphy. Lin Sanzhi studied and inherited the calligraphic art of Huang Binhong and made his own changes and developments. They had similarities and differences in the use of writing brushes and ink, arrangement of structures of Chinese characters and whole works, as well as spirituality and inner beauty. Meanwhile, Huang Binhong and Lin Sanzhi were both clever at combining the calligraphy and Chinese paintings closely in their practices. They were outstanding representatives of blending calligraphy into Chinese paintings and blending Chinese paintings into calligraphy.
