空间界态的句法语义接口研究——以运动事件的英汉词汇化模式对比为例 被引量:4

Semantic-syntactic Interface of Spatial Boundedness and Unboundedness——Taking English and Chinese Lexicalization Patterns of Motion Event as an Example

摘要 本文在运动事件框架下,对真实运动和虚构运动的空间界态句法语义接口关系进行对比实证研究。研究发现:(1)真实运动和虚构运动的词汇化模式可以相互参照,但不易出现跨语言的语义交叉变化。(2)在真实运动事件框架下,英汉两种语言总体上存在有界化倾向,但"有界"和"无界"构成一个连续体,二者之间存在无限的"准有界"认知体;"搭配"和"凸显"是有界化的主要手段。(3)在虚构运动事件框架下,一般遵循路径条件的限制;但是,汉语中的某些特殊词汇化模式不一定遵循该限制。 This paper, taking lexicalization patterns of motion event as an example, examines empirically the semantic-syntactic interface of spatial boundedness and unboundedness in English and Chinese. The paper has yielded the following three findings : ( 1 ) There is a cross-reference relationship between the lexicalizations of factive and fictive motion events, while it is difficult to have semantic cross-variation between the two languages after translation. (2) Within the framework of factive motion event, there is a general tendency towards boundedness in both English and Chinese, while boundedness and unboundedness constitute a conti- nuum, among which there are countless" quasi-bounded" cognitive entities. The main techniques of boundedness include colloca- tion and semantics. (3) Within the framework of fictive motion event, the restriction of path condition and manner condition should be considered. Nevertheless, certain lexicalization patterns in Chinese do not necessarily adhere to this restriction.
