Collaborative Development and Cultivation of Applied Talents——Tan Yuankun's Core Ideas and Practice of Education

谭元堃同志在参与创办北京地区的半工(农)半读教育和大学分校(北京联合大学)的丰富实践中,逐渐形成了协同发展、培养应用型人才两大核心教育理念,并将其充分运用于学校创办、实践教学、人才培养等各个方面,有效解决了在当时艰苦困难情况下办学的难题。他一生忠诚于党的教育事业,无私奉献、艰苦奋斗、宽宏大量、开拓进取,为北京高等教育事业发展作出了自己的贡献,是一位优秀的教育管理专家。

The core ideas on education of collaborative development and cultivating applied talents took shape as a result of the experience in practice of Comrade Tan Yuankun who was engaged in work - study （or farmer study） programs in Beijing and founded a？ branch of a university （ Beijing Union University）. He applied the ideas to founding schools, teaching practice and personnel training. That is how he was able to run a school in the hard times. He devoted all his life to education for the CPC by contributing a lot to the development of higher education in Beijing. He was acclaimed as an excellent expert on educational management for his selfless dedication, hard work, kindness and pioneering spirit.
