On the Need for Self-taught examinations by New Countryside Development

自学考试既是新农村建设的内容之一,同时也是建设新农村的重要途径。自学考试是加快新农村建设的加速器:一是有利于快速开发新农村建设中所需之人才资源;二是有利于促进新农村新农民继续教育的发展;三是有利于快速构建新农村全民学习型社会。本文思考了自学考试更好地服务新农村建设的措施:一是要增强自学考试为新农村建设服务的时代使命感;二是要建立适应为新农村建设服务的自学考试新模式。

Since self-taught examination is both content and means of new countryside construction, in this article, the author discusses three benefits of self-taught examination to the development of new countryside: exploration of human resources to be used in the advancement of new countryside; promoting the continuing education of the new farmers in rural areas; and helping to construct study-oriented communities in countryside. This article then makes two suggestions of how to better serve for the concept of new countryside: firstly, to emphasize the meaning of self-taught examination in the construction of new countryside; secondly, to establish a new self-taught examination mode for the need of the new countryside development.
