关于西安事变几个问题的再探讨

A Reconsideration of Several Issues related to the Xi'an Incident

本文就西安事变的三个问题专门进行说明:第一,蒋介石与张学良有着深厚而又错综复杂的关系。为了维护其统治地位,他最终背弃了在西安作出的让张学良主持西北一切的承诺,将其扣押,并导演了一出"审张"和"赦张"的闹剧。第二,张学良和杨虎城都可以算作是事变的主角,但张学良在"释蒋"问题上发挥的作用更大一些。第三,西安事变的发生及和平解决,功在国家,利在民族,不仅有益于中共,也有利于国民党。

This article explains three issues related to the Xi＇ an Incident. First, Chiang Kai-shek had a deep and complex relationship with Zhang Xueliang. In order to maintain his dominance, he eventually abandoned the com- mitment he had made in Xi＇ an that Zhang Xueliang would preside over the Northwest, and Zhang Xueliang was detained and faced a farcical ＂trial＂ and ＂pardon. ＂ Second, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng both can be re- garded as protagonists in the incident, but Zhang Xueliang played a greater role in the ＂release Chiang＂ issue. Third, the occurrence and the peaceful settlement of the Xi＇ an Incident helped the power of the country and the nation, thus benefitting not only the CPC but also the Kuomintang.
