5,5-Dimethylhydantoin epoxide cross-linked modified cottonseed meal protein-based adhesive

摘要 采用棉粕和5,5-二甲基海因环氧化物(DMHP)制备了棉粕蛋白基胶粘剂用于胶合板生产。通过对胶粘剂的固体含量、粘度和耐水胶接强度测试以及红外光谱、热重分析和扫描电镜分析研究了DMHP交联剂对棉粕蛋白胶粘剂性能的影响。结果表明:DMHP可以有效提高棉粕蛋白胶粘剂胶接性能,添加质量分数为10%时制备的胶合板胶合强度提高81.36%,达到1.07 MPa,这是由于DMHP与棉粕蛋白分子发生化学交联,形成致密的网状结构。DMHP的添加降低了棉粕蛋白胶粘剂的粘度,使胶易于进入木材孔隙,形成更强的力学结合力。交联改性后,固化胶粘剂表面变得紧密平滑,可有效防止水分的侵入。 .The cottonseed meal protein-based adhesives for plywood were prepared using cottonseed meal and 5,5- dimethylhydantine epoxide (DMHP) as materials. The effect of DMHP crosslinker on the performance of cottonseed meal protein- based adhesives was studied by testings of the solid content, viscosity and water resistance of the adhesives, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetrie analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that DMHP could effectively improve the bonding property of cottonseed meal protein-based adhesives,and the bonding strength of plywood was increased by 81.36% to 1.07 MPa when the mass fraction of DMHP was 10%. This was due to the chemical crosslinking of DMHP and cottonseed meal protein and forming a dense mesh structure. The addition of DMHP reduces the viscosity of cottonseed protein adhesive, so that the glue was easy to enter the wood pores and form a stronger mechanical bonding. The cross-linked modified cured adhesive surface became tight and smooth, could effectively prevent water intrusion.
