李蒸高等师范教育思想与实践研究

A Study on Li Zheng's Thoughts and Practice of Higher Normal Education

近代西北高等师范教育的发展是在外力作用的驱使下逐步推进的。从北平师范大学到西北师范学院在兰州的落地生根是我国高等教育在抗战时期西迁的一个重要硕果。国立西北师范学院院长李蒸既服膺于美国高等教育人才培养、社会服务与科学研究为一体的办学模式,又对我国特殊时期的高等教育有着清醒的认识和见解,他将高等教育的一般职能与高等师范教育的特殊意义、西北文化建设的需求相结合,提出了"以教育振兴西北"的口号,通过感召师生、学科建设、民众教育、科学研究以服务西北、开发西北,引领和提升西北文化。

The development of modern higher normal education in Northwest China had been driven by the external forces. From Peking Normal University to Northwest Normal University in Lanzhou, the establishment of the higher education in Northwest China is an important achievement during the war of resistance against aggression. Li Zheng, the president of Northwest Normal University, had a preference in American higher education mode, in which talent cultivation, social service and scientific research were integrated, but also had a clear understanding of Chinese higher education in the special period. Therefore, based on requirements of cultural development in Northwest China, he combined the general functions of higher education with the special significance of higher normal education, and put forward the idea of ＂revitalizing Northwest China with education＂, and endeavored to serve for, develop, lead, and promote the culture in Northwest China through calling on both teachers and students, discipline construction, public education and scientific research.
