伦敦中国艺术国际展览会是以展示中国古代工艺美术和书画作品为内容的大型高规格国际展览会,中国出品都具有很高的历史、文物和艺术价值,在当时国内外产生了很大影响。虽然此次展览会有着中外文化艺术交流和国际邦交的双重目的与意义,但从中外设计交流史角度看,中国积极参展和展出的众多工艺美术品,既是中国近代对外设计交流的显著表现,体现出了中外设计交流的价值意义,也是中国近代以展览为介质的对外设计交流的里程碑。

London International Exhibition of Chinese Art is a large-scale high-echelon international exhibition, a showcase of ancient Chinese arts and crafts, works of calligraphy and paintings. Many of them are of high historical, cultural and artistic value and have had a very big impact in domestic and international areas at that time. The significant value of art design in modern China is presented through these works of arts and crafts. This exhibition can be described as both an International Exhibition of ancient Chinese design reflecting the practical significance of communication in global exchange in terms of design, but also a milestone in modern China in the exchange of design exhibition between Chinese and other countries.
