Objective To explore the correlation between blood lipid level and chronic microvascular complications in diabetic patients. Methods The clinical data of 100 patients with diabetes mellitus from April 2013 to April 2014 in our hospital was analyzed. According to the presence or absence of chronic microvascular complications, the patients were divided into two groups: patients with chronic microvascular complications were included as the observation group(48 cases) and with no chronic microvascular complications were included as the control group 1(52 cases), and 50 healthy people underwent physical examinations in our hospital in the same period were selected as the control group 2, then the blood lipid levels in the three groups of subjects were compared. Results The levels of FBG, HbA1c, TC, TG and LDL-C in the control group 1 were significantly lower than those in the control group 2 and the observation group, the level of HDL-C was significantly higher than that in the control group and the observation group(P〈0.05). The levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in the control group 1 were significantly lower than those in the observation group(P〈0.05). Conclusion Elevated blood lipid levels in diabetic patients are risk factors of chronic microvascular complications, the clinic should strengthen the detection of changes of blood lipid in diabetic patients, which has a positive meaning for the genesis, development and treatment of chronic microvascular complications of diabetes.
