Culture Differences Between English and Chinese and Translation Issues

针对英汉语言在习语、动物联想、典故谚语等方面的文化差异,及由此而造成的翻译困难进行了较详细的分析,并提出了如何克服这些困难以提高翻译精确性的若干措施。

There are some culture differences in idioms,proverbs and their backgrounds between English and Chi- nese,which cause difficulties when doing translation work.This paper analyses such differences and difficulties. Measures to overcome the difficulties are put forward in order to achieve efficient translation.
