通过对文化语境和词汇内涵意义的分析,总结了影响词汇内涵意义形成的主要文化因素,并探讨了词汇内涵意义在英汉两种语言中的表现,以期对英汉翻译中如何确立词汇的内涵意义有所启发。
The present paper has a discussion on the context of culture in relation to the connotative meaning of English words. It probes into factors which has major impact on the form of connotative meaning and discusses the manifestation of connotative meaning in languages of English and Chinese.
