Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development of Ethnic Minority Libraries

履行社会责任是当前少数民族图书馆开拓思路、放眼长远,实现可持续发展的必然选择。文章明确了少数民族图书馆社会责任的内涵,基于民族性地域性特征阐述了少数民族图书馆社会责任涵盖的内容,提出少数民族图书馆在履行这些社会责任时要基于自身特质,量力而行,并寻求政府和社会各方力量的合作。

The fulfillment of social responsibility is the inevitable choice for minority libraries to open up their minds, take a long-term view and achieve sustainable development. This article defines the connotation of social responsibility of ethnic minority library, expounds the content covered by social responsibility based on the characteristics of ethnic minority. It suggests that these ethnic minority libraries shall seek for the cooperation with government and social forces while carrying on social responsibility based on their own characteristics.
