The concept of power system stability was introduced in this paper. The two analysis methods on com- mon security and stability of power system were mainly discussed, that was step by step integral method and the transient energy function method, whose advantages and disadvantages were analyzed. The analysis method to further optimize the Dower system stabilitv is provided.
