On the Current Situation, Significance and Dilemmas of the Tutorial Sys- tem for Undergraduate Students

摘要 本科生的大量扩招和学分制的全面实施使大学本科教育工作面临着挑战,如何在当前形式下推进教学改革,提高大学生的创新能力、培养高素质的人才是全国众多高等院校面临的问题。于是本科生导师制破土而出。长期以来我国高校实施的是研究生导师制,本科生导师制的教学管理模式在2004年后,才如雨后春笋般遍布全国各个高校,旨在提高本科生综合素质。本文介绍了什么是导师制以及其在全国的开展情况,指出目前导师制的不完善之处,面临的困境,评估标准未确立等问题,以此呼吁导师制科研方面有待加强。 The enlarged recruitment of undergraduate students and full implementation of credit system have posed challenges for undergraduate education. A common problem faced by many universities is how to promote educational reforms, improve undergraduate students’creativity, and foster high-quality person- nel. Thus, the supervisor system for undergraduate students appears. The supervisor system has always been adopted for graduate students, other than undergraduate students, in China’s universities. The supervisor sys- tem for undergraduate students was adopted in various universities in China only after 2004, and it aimed at improving their comprehensive quality. This paper introduces what the supervisor system for undergraduate students is and its prevalence in China, pointing out its current defects, dilemmas and the issue of establishing its standards, and calling for more researches on it.
