摘要
随着全方位的素质教育日益为社会所重视,大学英语教学也一改传统的应试教学格局,英语第二课堂活动的价值为越来越多的学者和大学教师所关注。本文对第二课堂活动的组织形式和功能进行了论述,探讨如何延伸大学英语的课堂教学,创立第一课堂和第二课堂有机结合的大学英语教学新模式,从而激发学生英语学习兴趣,逐步提高大学生的英语实际运用能力。
CWith the importance attached to quality-oriented education increasing in China, college Eng- lish teaching has changed its examination-oriented teaching structure. Extracurricular activities have received broader attention from English teachers and researchers. The paper aims at the study of the different forms and functions of extracurricular activities and intends to discover a new teaching mode, namely the combination of classroom teaching and after-classroom learning which will highly motivate students’interests. As a result, students’s integrative ability in English will be enormously improved.
