翻译是把一种语言文字所表达的意义用另一种语言文字表达出来,具体说来,就是"换易言语使相解也"。英汉翻译一直是语言研究的一个重要课题,本文主要分析介绍了英汉翻译中常见的一些基本技巧如词义选择法、词的转译法、省略法、增补法、正反译法与反正译法、分合译法和重复法等,以此促进读者对英语的学习和理解。

Translation is to express the meaning of one language with another, that is,explaining the same thing with different languages. English-Chinese translation is a prominent topic in the language research. This thesis mainly analyzes some common techniques in English-Chinese translation, such as diction, conversion, omission, adding, affirmation and negation, splitting and repetition, etc. With these basic techniques used, it will be helpful for the readers to understand and learn English well.
