摘要
本文以韩礼德等提出的情景语境理论为基础,分析了商务英语信函中所蕴涵的情景语境变量,并以此为基础,全面分析了商务英语信函的词汇特色,指出商务英语信函中的语场、语旨和语式对词汇的选择与运用产生的重要影响,最后指出了在研究和分析商务英语信函的词汇特色方面存在的一些不足之处,以期在为广大业内人士和商务英语学习者提供借鉴的同时,从更多视角以及不同的深度和广度对商务英语信函的文体(包括词汇)特色进行更加全面系统的探讨。
Based on the theory of situational context proposed by Halliday and some other linguists, the article analyzes the variables of situational context implied in business English letter; on this basis, the article further analyzes the lexical features of business English letter and points out the important effect of field, tenor and mode on the choice and application of vocabulary. Finally, the article points out what should be improved in the methods of analysis and study, aiming at exploring the stylistic features (including lexical features) of business English letter from different perspectives, in different depth and width while providing business staff and business English learners with some constructive advice.
