Andre Gide(1869-1951),an original French writer,has received a lot of criticism in his lifetime.He was crowned many honorary titles including the Nobel Prize in literature in 1947.But his ideas were not known for a long time in China.He is reputated as a literary gaint and a master thinker who span the the 19th and 20th centuries with his rich life experiences and his profound ideas.Until now Gide has been recognized as a modernistic classic writer and a wiser transcending time and space.We can only reveal his personal charisma through studying all his works.
