从思想史的角度看,康德哲学的确极大地推进了历史理性理论的发展,但其有关历史的学说毕竟缺乏有效基础。欧盟的困境恰好暴露出康德历史思想中最矛盾的部分。对于今天的一体化和全球化的理想来说,康德的历史构想不啻为一盏鼓舞人心的明灯,但具体实施方案方面不必拘泥于既有结论。如何在新的历史条件下发展康德思想才是推进普遍历史的途径。

Kant,s philosophy has greatly promoted the development of the theory of historical rationality within the intellectual tradition, but his theory of history lacks some effective foundation. The plight of the European Union just reveals the most contradictory part of Kant’s historical thought. Kant’s historical conception is still full of inspiration for the idea of integration and globalization, but they don’t have to adhere to the existing conclusions of Kant’s program. The thing that matters is the furtherance of Kant’s thought under the new historical conditions.
