Recognition of Ancient

＂古＂的意义与意思有不少,对＂古＂的释义非本文所重者,笔者更想强调的是,＂古＂是一种寓于历史语境的价值。＂古＂有讲述的意思,何时讲,何境说,皆有选择,并非随意。历史history原来就是讲述的＂故事＂his-story。今日之＂古＂大有回归之象,与其说保护遗产是＂续古＂的一类,勿宁说是重新发现了＂古＂的价值。古董之物包含着不言自明的价值,那些诸如饮食之具可以转变成为＂礼器＂,价值始作俑者也。重＂古＂包含着尊重历史的意味。

There are many definitions of'ancient'.The primary objective of the paper is not the interpretation of'ancient'.On the contrary,I strongly believe the value of ancient in its historical context.Ancient,as a means of presentation in Narrative,framed by dimensions of time and space.On the other hand,history initially can be regarded as a process of storytelling.In these day and age,China is undergoing a Cultural Renaissance.The protection of heritage is not the acceptance of a fait accompli,rather,it is to revalue ancient from a new perspective.Heritages contain special values,like the ancients used to practice tableware as ritual vessels on special occasions.Display and promotion of ancient culture should respect the history.
