The Effect of Social Support on Learning Burnout of College Students:Moderated Mediation model of Financial Condition and Life Satisfaction

本研究探讨了大学生学习倦怠与社会支持、生活满意度以及经济状况的关系,检验经济状况对生活满意度在社会支持与学习倦怠间的中介作用的调节效应。结果显示,学习倦怠与社会支持和生活满意度存在显著负相关。社会支持与生活满意度和经济状况存在显著正相关。在控制了性别后,社会支持对学习倦怠有直接预测作用,同时通过生活满意度的中介作用间接影响学习倦怠。重要的是,经济状况调节了生活满意度在社会支持与学习倦怠间的中介作用。即相对于贫困大学生,非贫困大学生的社会支持能更大程度地通过生活满意度减弱学习倦怠。

To explore the relationship among learning burnout, social support, life satisfaction and financial condition, this study constructed a moderated mediation model to examine whether life satisfaction mediated the relation between social support and learning burnout, and whether this mediating process was moderated by financial condition. The results showed that learning burnout was significantly negatively correlated with both social support and life satisfaction. And social support was significantly positively correlated with both life satisfaction and financial condition. Social support not only influenced learning burnout through life satisfaction indirectly, but also affected learning burnout directly after controlling gender. Importantly, the mediation of life satisfaction was moderated by financial condition, which meant the support of non-impoverished college students had a greater indirect influence on learning burnout, by affecting the degree of life satisfaction, than impoverished college students.
