In the party building practice before the reform and opening up, many of his theories of the party system building had come into being with Deng Xiaoping, such as adhering to democratic centralism, attaching importance to the party＇s leadership system, the party＇s working rules, and the intra-party supervision system, which laid a deep theoretical and practical foundation for the formation of his systematic thought of party construction. A series of important rules and regulations on the Party＇s system construction has been issued in the sixth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee. Under this background, it is of great significance and enlightenment to review Deng Xiaoping＇s thoughts on the party construction before the reform and opening up. It will promote further the scientific and systematic construction of the party system and guarantee the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party.
