Liuyong made a brave innovation and creation on the content of the poetry. His poems described the lives and thought of the prostitutes who lived in the lowest class of the society. portrayed the prosperous city views and expressed his loneliness as a roamer. The economic development of the beginning of Beisong,the prosperity of the cities and the rise of marketplace culture were the foundation of the creation. The poet' s romantic chacter and his gifted talent of writing were the objective conditions of the creation. while, the contradition between these and the traditional moral and ideal were the direct reasons for the creation.
