我国古代墓葬中人俑的出现是厚葬制度下产生的文化现象,象征着社会的进步。乐山东汉崖墓中的乐舞百戏俑雕刻精美、形象生动,在陶俑中占据着重要地位,其淳朴写实的表现手法揭示出东汉乐舞艺术特点;印证了史书记载的乐舞百戏热潮;从侧面反映出乐山的繁荣经济、统治阶级对乐舞的推崇以及包容的文化特性。作为我国古代珍贵的陶塑艺术品,乐舞百戏俑具有文化与历史的双重价值,是研究汉代乐山历史文化的珍贵遗产。

The figurines in the ancient tombs are the products of elaborate funeral system, representing progress of the society. The pottery figurines of musicians, dancers and acrobats in the cliff tombs of Eastern Han Dynasty in Leshan are elaborately carved with vivid images and occupy an im- portant position in pottery figurines nationwide. They embody the musical and dancing features in the Eastern Han Dynasty through a simple and realistic approach, confirm the historical records of a boom of dance, music and acrobatics, and indirectly reflect the economic prosperity, the worship of dancing and music by the ruling class and the cultural inclusiveness at that time. As the precious ancient pottery artworks in China, they have double values of culture and history and are valuable heritages for the research in culture and history of Eastern Han Dynasty in Leshan.
