At the beginning of the 20th century Chinese fine arts moved towards a new era.Powered by the idea of 'Save the nation with fine arts”, the sages made great efforts in introducing the Western fine arts and reforming Chinese fine arts,which resulted in the opening of a new situation in art education, theories of fine arts, skills and techniques in fine arts etc. Looking back to the 20th century and analysing the contemporary fine arts in China, we should deepen the reformation and make contribution to the development of national fine arts in the 21th century.
