This paper introduced the current insulation standard of medium voltage switchgear in terms of the main insulation mode and the main compound insulation technology used in the medium voltage switchgear, combined with the analysis of the accident caused by the insulation of the medium voltage switchgear, discussed the measures to improve the insulation capacity.
