Textual Research on Ancient and Modern Location of Taibai (SP 3)

太白穴的定位最早见于《灵枢经》,是足太阴脾经的输穴,对脾、胃等多个脏腑功能有调节作用,然太白穴的古今定位存在差异。从临床应用来看,依据《灵枢经》所述定位,公孙穴其单穴主治与原文所述主治契合;太白穴的应用以个案报道居多,从中可见其功效与原文有相似之处。对于大都穴,可从现代太白穴定位治疗临床热证的报道中推测,针刺本节后陷中可能是发挥了大都穴的功效。但无论何种定位,大都穴单用治疗疾病的临床报道稀少,证据略有不足。结合文献对"核骨"的解释以及公孙穴、太白穴、大都穴的临床应用,使得太白穴位于足第一跖骨底部粗隆下陷中,更有说服力。但由于时代及医疗实践差异,难免造成考证上的谬误。因此,期待能发掘出更多两汉、魏晋及以前的相关针灸文献,仔细求证,并结合临床进一步核实太白穴的定位。

The location of Taibai （SP 3） was first seen in Spiritual Pivot, which is an acupoint in spleen meridian of Taiyin and has regulating effects on the spleen,stomach and other viscera. However, the locations of Taibai （SP 3 ） in ancient and modern times have difference. According to clinical application and based on the location in Spiritual Pivot, the indications of the single acupoint of Gongsun （ SP 4 ） agrees with the original description. For the application of Taibai （SP 3 ）, most are individual cases, and in which similar effects can be seen compared with the original text. For Dadu （SP 2）, it can be predicted that this acupoint plays a great role in clinical heat syndrome. No matter what the location is, reports on single application of Dadu （ SP 2） are few and with insufficient evidences. Combined with the explanation of ＂ Hegu＂ in literature and clinical application of Gongsun （ SP 4 ）, Taibai （SP 3 ） and Dadu （SP 2）, it is more persuasive that the location of Taibai （ SP 3 ） is the in the bottom of the first met- atarsal bone. However, due to the differences of times and medical practices,it is inevitable some mistakes exist in the textual re- search. Therefore, it is hopeful to discover more relevant acupuncture literatures in Western Han and Eastern Han Dynasties and Wei and Jin dynasties to further explore and confirm the location of Taibai （ SP 3 ） by combining with clinical practice.
