语境在话语理解中的作用

该文通过对语境的研究,结合大量语用实例,分析言内语境和言外语境(包括情景语境和文化背景)在理解单词,语句及跨文化交流中的意义和功能。包括去除由多义词,同音词及复杂句式导致的歧义现象;理解话语内涵,以及实现各阶层文化主体之间的相互理解。

Through the research on context,combined with linguistic data in actual use,this essay is to illustrate the function and significance of linguistic context and extra-linguistic context(including context of situation and cultural background),in comprehension of single word,utterance and communication between people from different speech communities and cultural backgrounds.Context helps people to eliminate the ambiguity resulted from polysemy,homonymy and the complicated syntactic structures.It also helps to interpret the conversational implicature.Cultural background context has function in social communication and intercultural communication
