The contrast of Chinese and Western culture plays an important role in college English teaching.Based on 'Experiencing English',this article is attempt to explore the ways to teach the students about the difference of Chinese and Western culture from the social context,not just teach the students about the different meanings of words and idioms.And to improve the cross-cultural awareness of the students.
