Autonomous learning is the subject attracting attentions from teachers and students.The combination of the network teaching mode and students' autonomous learning show great advantages on the students' English learning.This paper discusses the necessity of autonomous learning in the context of multimedia network teaching mode.Besides,some suggestions are given by teaching and learning with the combination with network resource after the survey of current situation of the students' learning.
