法律援引是英美法系所特有和常见的一种法律语言现象。法律援引中所包含的各种形式的缩略语,是法律援引的主要内容,也是理解和翻译法律援引的主要障碍。熟悉法律援引的发展历史和构成成分,有助于了解和翻译法律援引。法律援引的英汉翻译可遵循如下三个原则:语言从法、存异求同和比照补足。
Legal citation is a unique and common language phenomenon in the Anglo-American Legal System.As the main content,various abbreviations in legal citation is the difficulty of its comprehension and translation,which can be dealt with by the acquaintance of its history and constituents.The acquaintance is a great help for translation of legal citation.Three translation principles can be observed in legal citation translation:language deferring to law,tolerance for difference and pursuit of concord,and imitation and complement.
