摘要
该文旨在了解中国文化背景下英语专业学生词汇学习策略运用的相关情况。基于英语词汇学习策略,学习成绩等相关理论,提出本研究的理论架构和假设。然后运用定量研究的方法,通过问卷调查,词汇知识测试等方式,了解了学生的大脑两半球运用以及词汇学习策略的使用情况,并以二者作为变量来测量其与词汇学习成绩之间的关系,同时分析英语词汇成绩高,低分学生对策略运用的差异。
The present study aims at investigating in Chinese cultural contexts the relationship between learning styles and vocabulary learning strategies on English majors. Based on the relevant theories about vocabulary learning strategies, learning styles, English achievement test and the findings of the previous researches, a tentative theoretical framework and hypotheses are proposed. Quantitative method, questionnaire and vocabulary knowledge test are adopted to investigate students'brain hemisphere dominance, uses of vocabulary learning strategies and how the two independent factors influence the English achievement among those English majors. Meanwhile, the differences of learning strategies used by the high and the low proficiency students are analyzed.
