Language is a medium of culture, it shows kinds of cultural information of social life. Chinese and English people create different cultures, which can be reflected in the idiomatic phrases. This paper analyzes the cultural differences of English and Chinese idiomatic phrases, and discusses the translation methods of English and Chinese idiomatic phrases.
