On the Importance of Orientation Courses for English Major Freshmen

新生入学教育是高校教育教学活动的重要组成部分。该文针对英语专业新生在大学学习初始阶段的心理状态及所遇到的问题,根据教育心理学的学习准备及教育衔接理论,提出了为新生开设入学导航课程(Orientation for Freshmen)对其专业意识提高的重要性及必要性。

College education admission serves as an important part of higher education,for the freshmen are likely to encounter some problems in their mental state at the initial phase.According to the educational convergence theory of educational psychology,this paper proposes that,in response to the problem,it is important to offer English major freshmen orientation courses to improve their major awareness.
