摘要
By presenting a contrastive approach in teaching syntax to learners of Chinese/English as a foreign language via the aid of translation,the paper illustrates that translation can be effectively utilized to raise students' awareness of the similarities and differences between L1 and L2,and to promote 'positive transfer' and minimize 'negative transfer'.
