顺应论视角下英文电影片名的汉译

A Study of Chinese Translation of English Film Titles from Adaptation-theoretic Perspective

片名是电影内容的眼睛与灵魂,它直接起到"导视"的作用。顺应论认为语言使用的过程就是语言选择的过程。该文试以Verschueren的语用顺应性理论探讨电影片名翻译中对各种语境因素的顺应。该文作者认为英文电影片名的汉译主要顺应语言语境和非语言语境,前者包括电影片名的读音和目的语语言特点;后者包括观众的审美情趣、原语和目的语文化。

Film titles which are the soul of films can enable the audience to appreciate the films.According to Adaptation Theory proposed by Verschueren,the use of language must consist of the continuous making of linguistic choices.The adaptation of translation of film titles from English to Chinese mainly includes linguistic adaptation and non-linguistic adaptation.Linguistic adaptation falls into sound adaptation and linguistic feature adaptation and non-linguistic adaptation falls into aesthetic adaptation and culture adaptation.
