英语教材中常涉及到《圣经》文化与典故,由于学生们缺乏对圣经知识的了解,对教材中的《圣经》文化的理解会产生困难。该文拟从对全新版《大学英语》教材中涉及到的《圣经》文化与典故进行介绍和讲解,来帮助学生了解西方文化,拓宽知识面,提高对英语语言的理解力和鉴赏力。

'Bible' culture and allusions are often involved in English materials.As the students are lack of biblical knowledge,therefore,correct understanding of allusion and the relevant cultural background becomes a difficult part.This paper gives the introduction and explanation of 'Bible' Culture and allusions involved in the texts to help students get better understanding of Western culture,broaden their knowledge and have better understanding of the article,to improve their communicational abilities.
