Schema theory is a very important English reading theory and it is widely applied and heatedly researched.Based on a brief introduction to schema theory,this paper tries to analyze,from the angle of schema theory,the existing problems in English reading teaching and learning of physical culture schools,and further discusses how to apply this theory to English reading teaching and learning so as to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
